About Me

I am an Articles Editor for Newsweek Magazine, where I cover education, culture, and women’s issues. I live in Manhattan with my dog, George.

I grew up, mostly, in Maine. Then I went to New Hampshire. I spent semesters in France and Morocco and did a semester at sea. After that, I came to Barnard, in New York. I spent a year (almost) studying in India, and then a year (almost), teaching in Prague. I spent a few years trying to do some good, decided it was futile, so went and got myself a mildly useless degree.
