Articles Editor (Present; in various positions since 2006)

  • Report, write and produce feature content and online build-out for Newsweek and Newsweek.com.
  • Solely responsible for Index: a one-page assessment of the winners and losers in the week’s news.
  • Conceived, launched, write and edit equalitymyth.com, which attracted over 2,000 followers within three months and is now a vertical on Newsweek.com.
  • Recent feature stories include an exhaustive report on gender bias at Newsweek, a reported essay on the relevance of marriage, and a cover-length story on the role of women in the global economy.
  • From 2006-2008, served as reporter and assistant editor for Newsweek International, and as a research assistant for Fareed Zakaria.

  • Interviewed asylum-seekers; wrote synopses of political asylum claims, corroborating events, and overall human rights conditions. Recipient of a grant from the Tow Foundation.

  • M.S. in Magazine Journalism. One of two students to receive honors in selective courses: the Literature of Non-Fiction and Narrative Writing. Selected for Covering Religion, a competitive class which included a two-week reporting trip to India.

  • B.A. cum laude, English. Creative writing concentration. Graduated with special departmental honors.
